Company Accountant (0.6FTE)
Reports to: CFO
Responsible for: The day to day accounting and reporting of financials coupled with data analysis to inform business decisions.

Yume is 4 years old and has made great traction in growing trade on its marketplace. This growth has created an opportunity for a part-time accountant to combine financial accounting with data analysis to provide quality reports to inform business decisions. You will get to make your mark as the role requires a process improvement mindset as the business scales.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO the company accountant will be responsible for the day to day management of the accounts in XERO, financial reporting and statutory financial requirements along with data analysis. This includes but is not limited to:
- Lead the month end process including reconciliations, business metrics and preparation of financial reports (for Internal, Board and investors)
- Oversight of accounts receivables and accounts payable and set direction for bookkeeper and accounts coordinator in relation to billing and invoicing.
Prepare and report on budgets and forecasts.
Maintain cashflow forecasts
Manage all taxation and statutory obligations including GST, PAYG, Superannuation and Workcover.
Support operations by performing data analysis on marketplace data (buyers, suppliers, products, orders) to inform strategy and aid decision making.
Process Improvement with CTO and Business Development team to prepare finance processes to scale with platform growth.
Key Selection Criteria
- Degree Qualifications in Accounting or Finance
Strong excel skills - advanced Excel viewed favourably
Experience in processing and preparation of accounts
An ability to multitask in a fast paced, growing environment
